Organic social post template for Collective

As the lead brand designer at Collective, I initiated a redesign of their organic social posts to create a distinct, ownable look supported by easily variable templates. These post would live on instagram and facebook.

Research


I categorized and analyzed social channels from various companies to identify design trends and innovative layouts for inspiration. I also audited Collective’s existing social feed, sorting each post into content buckets to determine which new layouts were needed for the redesign.

Graphic elements

I created a flexible set of design tools that could be mixed and matched to quickly build new layouts for each post. This set included icon elements I had previously designed for Collective, combined with paper-like textures and patterns inspired by Collective’s tagline: “Focus on your passion, not your paperwork.”

Paper

Shapes have rough edges the mimic paper. Folds and creases are used to section content.

A uniquely branded social grid paired with a design system that enables unlimited layout variations and templates.
